Raven "Gravenly Studio" Schinke

Raven entered the miniature hobby around six years ago and took to the painting immediately. He started gaming with his wife and a buddy in the basement and soon branched into the local community with small tournaments, commissions and painting competitions. Seeing success there, he extended into the wider miniature community with conventions and competitions. Raven enjoys using miniatures to tell stories and build worlds. Finding a lot of inspiration from 90's cartoons and video games, he is known for his bold color saturation, dramatic use of contrast and OSL, as well as his immersive, cinematic terrain and photography. As a teacher he focuses on taking the stress out of painting by explaining his theory in an approachable and forgiving way, intended to inspire confidence in one's own abilities. A force multiplier, he will help you cut through the noise to find your voice in your art.
